Vantage Systems, Inc. (Vantage Systems) announced today that it has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) to provide spacecraft engineering, software development, and research and development (R&D) services in support of the Naval Center for Space Technology (NCST).
The contract, N0017326C2427, was awarded on June 18, 2026, with options extending performance through June 2031. Under this award, Vantage Systems will support NRL’s NCST mission to develop advanced space technologies and deliver resilient spacecraft and aerospace systems for national defense and government missions. NCST serves as the Navy’s lead laboratory for space programs, responsible for advancing space systems, spacecraft payloads, tactical communications, and emerging aerospace technologies. Vantage Systems and its team will provide comprehensive technical support across the spacecraft lifecycle, including:
- Spacecraft and payload integration and test (I&T)
- Real-time embedded and flight software development
- Mission simulation and modeling environments
- Ground system software and command-and-control (C2) capabilities
- IT infrastructure, systems engineering, and program management support
The work will enable NCST to maintain and enhance its extensive portfolio of reusable software systems and technologies used in spacecraft design, testing, launch, and mission operations. Performance will primarily occur at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, D.C., with additional efforts supporting mission operations and system development activities across program locations.
Vantage Systems is supported by a highly experienced team of industry partners:
