MTA Control Panel

VSI's engineering expertise has been receiving accolades for work with the Baltimore Mass Transit Administration (MTA). The work included an electronic upgrade of the original Metro system equipment, re-documenting the existing wiring and functions, and performing end-to-end tests of the system to bring all the new sections in compliance with Federally mandated safety standards. Other contracts are to repair existing electronic signs, write new software to drive the message boards, and add advertising capabilities within each Metro station.

We anticipate that additional work may be awarded to VSI for replacing the aging primary electronic control system throughout the Metro.

VSI is also performing internal R&D to expand our wireless technology into solutions for metropolitan mass transit systems.
